The Comrex Access rackmount IP codec is to be placed at a centralised position (f.i. your radio studio).
It's function is to collect audio that is being transferred from Access portable units, but it can also get it's audio from another rackunit of course. The unit has a built in full featured POTS codec capable of sending 15KHz audio thrue an anloge telephone line. This feature can also be used as backup for an IP connection. Same as the Luci Live Two software, but extended with AAC+ codec for streaming in high sound quality, but with low bandwidth and low delay to your studio. Dependent on the settings a delay comparable with an ISDN codec is possible.

This Luci Live Two software on USB drive transforms every PC or Laptop with (fixed or wireless) internet access into a high quality live internet broadcasting source. The AAC+ plugin enables very good sound quality at low delay and low bandwith (delay comparable with the delay of an ISDN codec) which is perfectly suitable for live interviews.

The advantage to have the Live Two software on an USB drive is that you can install the software on any suitable PC with internet access you like. The USB key is acting as the "dongle" for the software at the same time.
